Hearth & Hound (hearthandhound.online). Last updated October 4, 2026.
What we keep
- When you log in with Twitch: your Twitch user id, login name, and display name, and when you first and last logged in. We ask Twitch for nothing else (no email, no follows, no messages), and we don't keep Twitch's access token.
- Your character in the game: your job, your home in Lanternrest, your homestead if you have one, badges you've earned, and game news that mentions you. This is game data, the same things shown on the stream. While your character page is open, your villager walks around Lanternrest on stream, as if you were chatting; the site keeps only when your page last checked in (for a day).
- Your chat with Orzo on this site: what you write to Orzo and his replies, kept for 30 days so you can pick up where you left off, then deleted on their own. Only you can see it, and the "Clear our chat" button on your character page deletes it any time. Messages are checked by the same safety filter as Twitch chat (anything it holds back isn't kept), and Orzo's replies are written by Anthropic's Claude AI, which receives the conversation to do that.
- If you link Discord: your Discord user id and name, so Orzo knows it's you when you talk with him in the Hearth & Hound Discord. We ask Discord for nothing else (no email, no servers, no messages) and don't keep Discord's access token. "Unlink Discord" on your character page removes them any time.
- A login cookie so the site remembers you're logged in (for up to 30 days, or until you log out). No ads, no trackers, no analytics cookies.
What we never do
- We never sell or share your data.
- Your character page is only shown to you, when you're logged in.
- This site never shows Orzo's notes about people or anything to do with moderation.
Orzo's notes
On stream, Orzo may jot down small everyday things you share (like "going on a hike today") so he can ask how
it went. He may bring them up when you chat with him on this site, or on Discord if you've linked it, too. They're never shown on the site. Type
!forget in chat any time and he erases all of his notes about you.
Deleting your data
Ask us to delete your account and your character, and we will. Send a message to hearthandhound on Twitch or in our Discord.
